NFT firm Blockparty's ex-CTO charged with $1 mn fraud in US

Rikesh Thapa, who was CTO of NFT firm Blockparty from 2017-2019, has been arrested and charged with wire fraud in the US. Authorities allege that Thapa was given $1 million in cash from the company for "safekeeping", but he instead spent the funds on personal expenses like nightclubs. He also allegedly stole at least 10 Bitcoins from the company.
