NFT of meme that inspired creation of Dogecoin sells for record ₹29 cr

'Doge', the image of an excited Shiba Inu has been sold as a non-fungible token (NFT) for $4 million (₹29 crore), making it the most expensive NFT meme. The iconic meme was sold by Atsuko Sato, the owner of the dog in the image. After the meme became popular in 2013, two engineers created the cryptocurrency 'Dogecoin' as a joke.
