NGOs getting foreign funding won't be able to publish news: MHA

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said NGOs involved in publication-related activity and receiving foreign contribution will not be able to publish any newsletter. The NGO must get a certificate from Registrar of Newspapers for India that it does not circulate news content. The new rules are to be abided by NGOs seeking registration under Foreign Contribution Act, MHA said.
