NH-24 in Delhi to be 14-laned for Meerut expressway

The road transport and highways ministry has decided to build the much-delayed Delhi-Meerut expressway having a length of 73km, with the widening of NH-24 (from Delhi up to UP Gate) to 14 lanes from the present eight. When completed, it will enable commuters to reach Meerut in 45-60 minutes and cut travel time to Haridwar and Dehradun by almost 1-hour.
