NHAI issues new guidelines for high-speed highways

NHAI has issued new guidelines for upcoming 4 & 6-lane high-speed, access-controlled national highways, focusing on safety, technology and sustainability. The framework promotes AI-enabled machine-aided construction, future-ready traffic planning and Multi Lane Free Flow tolling. It also mandates better landscaping to reduce waterlogging and improve highway resilience.
