NHAI orders inspection of new highways after pics of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway defects go viral

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has ordered inspections of newly opened highway stretches after pictures of defects in the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway went viral. The inspections will be conducted weekly for the first three months and fortnightly for the next three months, covering riding quality, drainage and safety installations. NHAI also ordered an audit of major road projects.
