NHAI responds after ₹4,200 cr expressway develops cracks days after inauguration

After videos showing cracks and damage on the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway days after its inauguration surfaced online, NHAI released a statement. It said that as part of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, preventive maintenance works are being undertaken. The expressway is covered under a 15-year Defect Liability Period (DLP) and it will be rectified without any extra cost to NHAI.
