NHB puts 2 schemes on hold days after union minister's ₹99 lakh subsidy

The National Horticulture Board (NHB) has suspended acceptance of fresh applications for grant of clearance (GoC) under two schemes for one month, effective September 4. This comes days after it amended guidelines of a scheme, under which Union Minister Bhagirath Choudhary availed ₹99 lakh subsidy for cucumber farms. IAS officer Naresh Pal Gangwar's wife, son and mother also availed subsidies.
