NHRC asks Punjab govt to inspect amid claims of unsafe buses under Tirth Yatra Yojana

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognisance of the allegations regarding the deployment of unsafe and potentially non-compliant AC sleeper buses under the Punjab Government's Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. It has issued a notice to the Punjab Chief Secretary, asking them to inspect all the buses and submit a report within seven days.
