NIA to probe judicial officers hostage case in West Bengal's Malda

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar transferred the investigation into the alleged gherao of judicial officers in West Bengal’s Malda to National Investigation Agency (NIA), PTI reported, citing an official. A team is expected to reach the state on Friday. This comes after Supreme Court criticised the state government over nine-hour gherao of judicial officers performing SIR duties in Malda.
