Nicholas Pooran overtakes Chris Gayle to set new world record

Nicholas Pooran struck the first half-century of the 2024 Caribbean Premier League, and overtook Chris Gayle to set a new world record in the process. Pooran's tally of sixes hit in T20 cricket this year is now 139, going past Gayle's record of 135 in 2015 for the most sixes hit in men's T20 cricket in a calendar year.
