Nifty Auto drops 600 points as Tata Motors, other stocks fall 4%

Automobile stocks like Tata Motors, Eicher Motors and Apollo Tyre recorded massive losses on Thursday, dragging Nifty Auto index down by 600 points to 26,501.55. Shares of Tata Motors, which remained the top loser on the index, fell around 4% to hit an intraday low of ₹925. Shares of Apollo Tyre, Eicher Motors and others also fell over 4%.
