Nigeria confirms first imported Ebola Bundibugyo case in Abuja

Nigeria has confirmed an imported Ebola Bundibugyo virus case in Abuja, making it the fifth country to detect the virus since DRC's outbreak began in May 2026. The patient, a woman who travelled from Uganda, showed symptoms on October 7 and was confirmed positive on October 20. She is isolated; 44 contacts are being monitored.
