Nigeria declares 21 states at risk of Ebola importation
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has placed 21 of 36 states, including Abuja, Lagos, and Kano, under high and moderate Ebola importation risk due to rising outbreaks in East and Central Africa. While no cases have been reported in Nigeria, officials have strengthened surveillance and preparedness, citing concerns over travel routes and porous borders.
