Nigerian army rescues 39 kids & 6 teachers abducted in May, 8 held

Nigeria's army rescued 39 schoolchildren and six teachers, two months after they were abducted by gunmen in May, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said. He added that eight kidnappers, belonging to a militant group associated with Boko Haram, were arrested and are currently in custody. Onanuga further said that one of the kidnapped teachers had been killed while being held captive.
