Night shelter at Sarai Kale Khan demolished ahead of G20 Summit

Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) demolished a 'rain basera' (night shelter) at Sarai Kale Khan on Wednesday ahead of the G20 Summit. A video showed a JCB vehicle razing shelter number 235. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court heard a plea against the demolition exercise. Police had asked DUSIB to shift the shelter, claiming that criminals often used it for hiding.
