Nike to fire 740 employees at US headquarters in 2nd layoff round

Nike will fire about 740 employees at its world headquarters in US' Oregon as the sportswear-maker looks to cut costs. The "second phase of impacts" would begin by June 28, Nike Vice President Michele Adams said. Nike had announced its cost savings plan for $2 billion in December and in February said it'd fire 2% employees, or about 1,600 staffers.
