Nike to lay off 1,400 employees, mainly in tech: Report

Nike is laying off about 1,400 employees, which is less than 2% of its total workforce, Bloomberg reported. The job cuts will largely affect technology roles within its global operations team. The move is part of efforts to streamline the sporting goods company's structure and use advanced automation, Chief Operating Officer Venkatesh Alagirisamy said in a note to staff.
