Nio bounces slightly after licensing its Shenji NX9031 chip

Nio shares edged higher after-hours after the EV maker began licensing its Shenji NX9031 autonomous-driving chip to an external buyer, the first commercial move for its costly in-house chip program. The company is restructuring the unit and expanding partnerships as it targets Q4 profitability. Nio closed down 3.9% Wednesday, extending a 10-session losing streak before the modest rebound.
