Nissan to cut 9,000 jobs amid weak sales in China, US

Nissan Motor will cut 9,000 jobs, equivalent to 6.7% of its global workforce, amid weak sales in China and US. Japan's third-largest automaker will cut 20% of its global manufacturing capacity as part of its efforts to reduce costs by $2.6 billion in the current fiscal year. Senior executives, including CEO Makoto Uchida, will also take voluntary pay cuts.
