Nitin Gadkari urges Delhi government to withdraw 'green tax' on vehicles

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari urged Delhi government to withdraw the green tax, saying it adds to the financial burden on people. The tax, imposed after a Supreme Court directive to curb air pollution, applies to commercial and older petrol vehicles entering Delhi. Gadkari said Delhi government should give annual grant of ₹700–800 crore to MCD and scrap this revenue source.
