The Supreme Court has refrained from awarding death sentence in Nitish Katara murder case and refused to acknowledge it as an honour killing case. The victim's mother had filed a petition seeking death penalty for the two accused Vikas and Vishal Yadav. The duo allegedly burnt Nitish to death as they suspected him of having an affair with their sister.
