NMC logo row: Never had India Emblem, always had Hindu deity

The National Medical Commission has clarified the controversy over its logo containing a religious symbol. The Commission said that it was wrong to say the Hindu deity in the logo replaced the Ashoka Emblem because they got the logo only a year back with the deity in black and white, which they have since changed to a coloured image.
