No 'Abhaya Mudra' in Islam: Ajmer Sharif Dargah as Rahul links symbol to Islamic prayer

Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin-Dargah Ajmer Sharif, reacting to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's speech in Parliament, expressed concern over the linkage of 'Abhaya Mudra' symbol to Islamic prayer. "The symbol...isn't mentioned in any holy scripture or even in the teachings of saints," Chishty added. Rahul earlier said, "In Islam, when someone prays, they take 'Abhay Mudra' with both hands."
