No commitments on ethanol imports from US under trade talks: Govt

The government on Thursday said India has made no concessions or commitments on importing US ethanol for fuel blending under the India-US trade talks. It said claims of a policy change to allow large-scale ethanol imports from the US are misleading. India's ethanol blending programme will continue to be governed solely by domestic policy requirements, it added.
