No conclusive data directly linking air pollution with lung diseases: Govt

Government on Thursday told Parliament there's no conclusive data to establish a direct link between higher AQI levels and lung diseases. It, however, acknowledged air pollution is one of the factors triggering respiratory and associated diseases. BJP MP Laxmikant Bajpayee had asked if government was aware of studies confirming that prolonged exposure to hazardous AQI is leading to lung fibrosis.
