No exit polls to be broadcast from 7 am on April 9 to 6:30 pm on April 29: EC

Election Commission said exit polls cannot be conducted or broadcast from 7 am on April 9 to 6:30 pm on April 29 for assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Exit polls in this period are violative of Representation of People Act, 1951. It's punishable with imprisonment for up to two years or with fine.
