No HRA if one spouse gets govt housing, reiterates Central govt

The Centre clarified that both spouses can't claim HRA if they're central government employees posted at the same station and one has been allotted government accommodation. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said the family is deemed to have housing, so no rental expenses are incurred. The government said there is no proposal to change the rule.
