No ID, no entry: K'taka govt to all bars & pubs after study finds 33% underage drinking

The Karnataka government has ordered all liquor-serving establishments in Bengaluru to implement strict age-verification protocols. "No valid ID, no entry," directed Home Minister Priyank Kharge to all bars, breweries, pubs, clubs, lounges and restaurants. The crackdown comes after 33% of the surveyed adolescents in the city reported alcohol use, with some starting as early as eight years.
