No more company-wide layoffs this year: CEO Mark Zuckerberg as Meta fires 8,000

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees that he does not expect more company-wide layoffs this year, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. His remark came on the same day the company started laying off around 8,000 employees. It is reportedly also transferring 7,000 other employees to new initiatives related to AI workflows.
