No proposal for separate ministry for UTs: MHA informs Lok Sabha

MHA told Lok Sabha that no proposal is being considered to create a separate ministry, parliamentary inspection committee, or special policy framework exclusively for UTs. MoS Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said existing institutional mechanisms are ensuring smooth policy implementation in UTs. He added that the Parliamentary Standing Committee is already playing a vital role in the governance of UTs.
