No such penalty levied: Mahindra on ₹1,800-cr emission fine report

Mahindra and Mahindra has refuted report claiming that central government may impose around ₹1,800-crore fine for having higher than mandated fleet emission levels in financial year 2022-23. "To the best of our knowledge, no such penalty has been levied or is being considered," Mahindra said. The Indian Express reported that penalties worth ₹7,300 crore might be imposed on eight carmakers.
