Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to French author Annie Ernaux

The 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature has been awarded to French author Annie Ernaux. She has been given the award "for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, estrangements and collective restraints of personal memory", a tweet read. Her writing "examines a life marked by strong disparities regarding gender, language and class", said Nobel Prize's website.
