Noida factory workers demanding higher pay were jailed for 53 days on average: Report
Over 200 people were arrested in connection with protests by Noida factory workers who were demanding higher pay. The Indian Express reported that in case of 106 arrests, the average period a protester spent in custody was 53 days before courts stepped in. These arrests led to 222 bail orders linked to seven FIRs. The protests began on April 10.
