Noida girl on her way to school raped; accused shot at while escaping

A 12-yr-old girl on her way to school in Noida was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man on Wednesday, following which the accused was arrested, officials said. The accused tried to escape while returning from a medical examination, which prompted the police to open fire, injuring the accused's leg, said ASP (Noida) Ran Vijay Singh.
