Non-disclosure of prior job application can't defeat Old Pension Scheme benefit: HC

The Calcutta High Court ruled that a government employee cannot be denied Old Pension Scheme (OPS) benefits for failing to obtain a technical resignation or disclose a prior job application when switching posts. The court said that such a technical mistake alone shouldn't take away pension benefits. It directed authorities to reconsider the employee's claim under a 2023 pension option.
