PHP Foundation, the nonprofit behind the coding language powering around 70% of websites, is "incredibly underfunded", said Executive Director Elizabeth Barron. "We've one full-time staff member (that's me) and 14 mostly part-time contractors," she added. Researchers recently found two critical PHP flaws, prompting several websites to temporarily shut down as a precaution.
