North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles from the Wonsan area toward the sea off its east coast, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said on Saturday. The launch came a day after South Korea, Japan and US concluded their joint military drills to test readiness against North Korea's missile and nuclear weapons threats. North Korea had criticised the exercises.
