Just weeks after Western tourists entered North Korea for the first time in five years, the country has suspended tourism. North Korea has not given a reason for the sudden halt. The country had sealed itself off at the start of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and had started to scale back restrictions in mid 2023.
