Northeast people mistreated in India: Ex-Manipur CM on singer beaten to death in Delhi

Former Manipur CM N Biren Singh criticised the murder of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh in Delhi, calling the incident deeply painful for the Northeast community. He said people from the Northeast were being mistreated across India. The singer was allegedly chased into his third-floor apartment by a group of eight people before being attacked in the corridor and killed.
