Norway seizes Russian ship over Ukraine's $4.2 bn Crimea claim
Norway seized a Russian state-owned ship in Arctic to enforce a $4.2 billion compensation claim by Ukraine's state energy company, Naftogaz. The Ukrainian energy firm has been pursuing Russia since 2016 to seek compensation for the expropriation of its property in Crimea after Russian annexation in 2014. Russia was ordered to pay the amount, along with interest and legal costs.
