Norwegian solar firms eyeing India expansion: Ambassador

Norwegian solar energy companies are actively seeking opportunities in India, Norway's Ambassador May-Elin Stener said at the Bharat RE Summit 2026. Around 106 Norwegian firms operate in India, with 30% in green energy. A Tata Power-Ocean Sun floating solar venture was cited as a key example. The India-EFTA trade pact has further boosted bilateral renewable energy cooperation.
