Not a new offer: Iran as reports claim it offered to abandon nuclear programme

Iran's state-run news agency IRNA clarified that Deputy FM Majid Takht-Ravanchi's remark on nuclear programme was made in reference to previous diplomatic discussions rather than any fresh initiative from Iran. This comes after reports claimed Majid as saying that Iran is prepared to abandon the nuclear programme if US proposes satisfactory alternative arrangement.
