Not all on-duty ATCs were monitoring runway during NY crash: Probe
A probe by US' National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found that only two out of four Air-Traffic Controllers (ATCs) on duty were monitoring the runway from their tower during the crash at New York's LaGuardia airport. NTSB chair Jennifer Homendy said ATCs juggling several tasks during the midnight shift is common as the airport is a "heavy workload environment".
