Not allowed in Islam: Muslim body opposes 'Surya Namaskar' in schools

All India Muslim Personal Law Board has opposed government directive to organise 'Surya Namaskar' program in schools. Board said 'Surya Namaskar' is form of Surya puja and Islam does not allow it, adding that Muslim students should not participate in such events. UGC said program will run from January 1 to February 7 to mark 75th anniversary of Independence Day.
