Not involved: US on Israeli strike on Hezbollah HQ in Beirut

The US had no advance warning of an Israeli strike in Lebanon's Beirut, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed on Friday. "The US was not involved in this operation," the spokesperson further stated, referring to Israel's targeted strike on the Hezbollah headquarters in the city. Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the strike, the Israeli Defense Forces claimed.
