Not unusual in monsoon: ASI on plant sprouting from Taj Mahal's main dome

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has dismissed concerns regarding maintenance at the Taj Mahal in Agra after visuals showing a plant sprouting from the marble wall of the monument's central dome surfaced online. "Plant growth at odd places is not an unusual phenomenon during monsoon, but it is taken care of time to time," an ASI official said.
