Nothing CEO says scammer AI-generated his voice, asked staff for money

Nothing CEO Carl Pei said a scammer used AI to impersonate him online. Pei said the scammer used AI to clone his voice and sent WhatsApp messages to ask employees for money for an "urgent" project. "Luckily, our payment processes caught this as designed," Pei said, adding that employees cross-checked the demand by asking scammer to verify fake employee information.
