Notorious high-end phone lifter 'Tipu Sultan' held in West Bengal

A notorious phone lifter, Tipu Sultan, was arrested in West Bengal after a Mumbai Police-led investigation into high-end smartphone thefts near Sion and Nair Hospital. Officers said the network involved handlers, scouting teams and on-ground executors, with stolen devices trafficked across the border. Further investigations are ongoing to apprehend remaining members, including Sultan's brother.
