Novo Nordisk sues Dr Reddy's in Delhi HC over Ozempic name

Weight loss drug Ozempic manufacturer Novo Nordisk sued Dr Reddy's Laboratories in the Delhi High Court. The move came days after Novo Nordisk's semaglutide patent expired in India. Novo Nordisk argued that Dr Reddy's new product 'Olymviq', a generic version of diabetes drug semaglutide, sounds similar to Ozempic and risks confusing patients and prescribers.
